Passwords, 2FA, and sessions
Changing your password, enrolling optional two-factor authentication, and what to do if you lose your device.
Changing your password
Settings → Security → Change password (minimum 8 characters). Changing your password signs out all other devices. If you have two-factor enabled, you will be asked for a 6-digit code first — enter it in the two-factor card on the same page, then retry the change.
Two-factor authentication (optional)
- In Settings → Security, choose to enable two-factor. A QR code appears — scan it with any authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password), or type the manual secret shown beside it.
- Enter the app's 6-digit code to confirm. From then on, password sign-ins ask for a current code after your password.
- To disable 2FA or re-enroll a new device, you will be asked for a fresh code first — a stolen open laptop cannot silently remove your 2FA.
There are no backup codes in this version. If you lose your authenticator device, email support@honeyshelf.ai from your account email — support verifies your identity and removes the factor so you can re-enroll.
Signing out
Use Sign out in the top navigation. Per-device session listing is not available; changing your password is the way to force other devices out.
