Onboarding: first-day setup

A new organisation starts with a 30-day trial and a four-step setup wizard. You can leave and return — progress is saved per step.

1. Add your first product and its BOM (bill of materials): the materials consumed per finished unit, waste included. Every downstream calculation starts here.
2. Add raw materials and their suppliers — lead times matter, because reorder points are computed from them.
3. Connect Shopify (or skip for now). Once connected, sales history flows in and velocity numbers appear on Stage 1.
4. Enter raw-material opening balances — what is physically on your shelves today. Finished-goods stock is not typed in; it syncs from your store.

Your organisation counts as "activated" once Shopify is connected and the first BOM exists — that is when the product has real numbers to show and the trial clock starts from.
