Print QR/barcode labels for materials and finished goods — A4 sticker sheets or thermal rolls, scannable by phone cameras and handheld scanners.
Every raw material and product can be printed as a physical label from the Catalogue. Each label carries a QR code, a Code 128 barcode, the item’s short code, and its name. Use the per-row "Print labels" menu for one item, or the tab-level "Print all labels" button for the whole catalogue (any role can print).

Print all is capped at the first 500 items (alphabetical); larger catalogues get a notice on the last page — filter the tab first or print in batches.
Two codes, two scanners
- Phone camera → the QR code. It opens the item directly in Honey Shelf (a deep link). You must be logged in: a logged-out scan lands on the login page and then the dashboard — log in, then re-scan.
- Handheld (wedge) scanner → the Code 128 barcode. It types the item’s short code into whatever box is focused — click into the Catalogue search box, scan, and the item appears. Material search matches codes as well as names; product barcodes carry the SKU.
Material codes
Materials get an automatic short code (RM-0001, RM-0002 …) — assigned to existing materials when the feature arrived, to new materials on creation, and to any un-coded material the first time its label is printed. You can replace a code with your own (letters, numbers, dot, underscore, hyphen — max 32 characters, unique per organisation) in the material’s edit form or the CSV import. Non-ASCII characters are rejected because Code 128 barcodes cannot encode them.
A printed label points at the item it was printed for. If you later archive a material, or merge it into another, its old physical labels stop resolving — scans show "label not found". Re-print labels after merging or renaming codes.
